polaris.validate.merge_diff_summary(overall, new)

Merge one diff summary into another in place, keeping the largest l_infinity difference found for each variable

Parameters:

• overall (dict) – The summary to merge into, as populated by the diff_summary argument of polaris.validate.compare_variables()

• new (dict) – The summary to merge from, in the same form
