Analysis.convergence_parameters(field_name=None)

Get convergence parameters, with a lower threshold for MPAS-Ocean’s unsplit_explicit time integrator, which converges at close to first order until a fix for how it times the manufactured solution forcing is merged into E3SM

Parameters:

field_name (str) – The name of the variable of which we evaluate convergence

Returns:

• conv_thresh (float) – The minimum convergence rate

• error_type ({‘l2’, ‘inf’}, str) – The error norm to compute
