polaris.run.confinement.check_confinement(step, logger) → None

Check that a placed step received what it was given, and say so when it did not.

Does nothing for a step with no placement, which is every step of a serial run.

Parameters:

• step (polaris.Step) – The step about to run, with its resources already constrained to its placement

• logger (logging.Logger) – The step’s logger, which is where the finding goes
